Focus on advertising its benefits rather than just its features. Advertise your products by telling your customers that its going to address any of their problem.

3. Don’t spam. As you go about your marketing tools in optimizing your website, make sure that you will not be considered a spam. Say for example in your forum posting, you have to make sure that your posts abide to their rules about what is acceptable; some are stricter than others, but no reputable forum will accept out and out advertisements. Forum posting is a great way to connect to your target customers, always make sure to provide them sensible information. Never take the risk and lose your credibility because of spamming – not to mention the fines and the consequence of getting banned that comes with it.

4. Not minding the importance of credibility in doing business online. Deal with them with respect. Because it will lead you to repeat customers and referral sales. People want to feel important and valued.

5. Don’t just sit back and expect results. Running a home-based Internet business certainly doesn’t work overnight. It requires a lot of time as it progresses. Eventually, as you established your online business, all you need is some maintenance. On the other hand, if you just ignore your venture completely, it’s a sure fire way to fail.
